Shannon Solazzo
Some people find their way into HR. Shannon Solazzo built a career inside it, from the ground up, across industries, and into the rooms where the hardest decisions get made.
With nearly two decades of experience spanning the full lifecycle of human resources, Shannon has operated as the master key in organizations that needed HR to do more than administer, they needed it to lead. She has built and led expansive HR departments, guided organizations through reductions in force and large-scale restructuring, and consistently aligned the HR function with organizational strategy across multiple industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, and hospitality. Talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, compliance, workforce planning, organizational development, and employee relations, she has lived in all of it, at the highest levels, when the stakes were real.
At Envision Benefits Group, Shannon leads the HR Consulting line of business, partnering with executive teams to strengthen HR infrastructure, reduce workforce risk, and navigate the situations that keep leaders up at night. Where others see complexity, Shannon sees a problem that process, precision, and experience can solve. She has learned that the best HR outcomes rarely come from a fixed philosophy, they come from reading the room, weighing the stakes, and making the call that holds up legally, operationally, and humanly. Her track record across formal employment complaints, built on rigorous documentation, disciplined investigation, and close collaboration with legal counsel, reflects what HR done right actually looks like.
A proud Buffalo native, Shannon is exactly what you’d expect from someone shaped by this city, direct, loyal, resilient, and deeply community-rooted. When she’s not advising clients, you’ll find her cheering on Buffalo’s teams with the kind of irrational optimism only a true Buffalonian can sustain, exploring the city’s seriously underrated food scene, and making the most of every vacation with her family. She believes great wings require no apology and that lake-effect snow builds character.
Buffalo made her. Her clients benefit from it every day.
